I love to capture emotion. Take my camera out when no one is looking. Capture moments of the day that warm someone’s heart tomorrow. Them happy, doing things they love, experiencing new things, or just being with their favourite people at gatherings. Having lived on the other side of the world from my family, I believe it’s the little moments and people in your life; that make life big. That’s important to me. I would depict, what’s important to the patient and capture those moments for them. Listen to their story. I imagine surviving a heart condition, gives you a new appreciation for life. It may be that after being held back because of their condition, I could capture the patient doing something they love, that they couldn’t do before. A moment of self-expression. It may be that I would capture them enjoying precious moments with their family and friends, because that’s what’s important to them. I would like to be considered for this competition, because I’d love to be part of your innovative campaign, raise awareness about this important cause and meet one of your inspiring patients, giving them something to cherish. Although I’m not a professional photographer, I believe I can capture a photo that says more than a million words.
