Living in the North East of Scotland we are privileged to be able to enjoy breathtaking scenery, be it walking along stunning beaches, enjoying countryside walks and even climbing a Munro or two....All of which improves quality of life for patients before and following treatment for heart valve disease. As a nurse working within the Cardiac intensive care unit at Aberdeen Royal Infirmary I encourage our patients as part of their rehab post surgery to go out and enjoy these stunning views we are so lucky to have on our doorstep.
